Formulation and Evaluation of Aspirin-PLGA Microsphere for the Dental Stem Cell Stimulation

Abstract: Aim: According to WHO, dental caries is the most prevalent oral disease, and its progression leads tooth loss. Clinical management of focuses on severity extent disease with main aim, i.e., ‘art’ creating a good restoration. Recently, it has been reported that aspirin can stimulate existing stem cells regenerate damaged teeth. But, therapeutic effectiveness drug depends developing suitable novel delivery system, retain at site suitably release produce effective therapy. Therefore, present investigation intends develop Aspirin-Poly lactic-co-glycolic acid microspheres for restoration dentin. Materials Methods: Aspirin- Poly microsphere was formulated by double emulsion technique evaluated particle size, encapsulation efficiency, characterization (differential scanning calorimetry, X-ray powder diffraction), in vitro release, as well irritation testing using Hen’s egg test-chorioallantoic membrane method.
